Copeland McAllister Partner makes elite list

Partner Naoimh McAllister has been named on a list of Elite Women in Law.

Copeland McAllister Partner Naoimh McAllister has been listed as one of New Zealand’s Elite Women in Law for 2026.

The prestigious list is selected following a nomination process, and collated by NZ Lawyer; recognising exceptional leaders who have influenced the profession over the past 12 months.

For Naoimh, the past year has been huge – co-founding specialist employment law firm Copeland McAllister in August 2025, alongside experienced employment lawyer Janet Copeland.

Together they have built a strong brand, client trust, and an exceptional reputation over a short space of time.

Over more than 15 years in legal practice, Naoimh, who is Queenstown based but works with clients nationwide, has become known for her practical expertise, strong client relationships, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.

While being named one of New Zealand’s Elite Women in Law is a significant achievement, Naoimh is quick to shift the focus to those around her.

“I feel very lucky to work alongside a number of women in law who I consider elite. They are dedicated professionals who provide excellence for our clients every day,” she says.

As co-founder of an (unintentionally) all-female law firm, Naoimh is passionate about creating an environment where women can build successful and rewarding careers in law. Her recognition reflects not only her own expertise and leadership, but also her commitment to supporting others to thrive in the profession.

Indeed, Naoimh’s impact extends well beyond individual legal matters.

Through innovation, leadership, mentorship, professional service, and her dedication to creating better workplaces, she has made a significant contribution to both the legal profession and the wider community
